Thirsting for God

“As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” Psalm 42:1-2   

“I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.” Psalm 143:6

God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water” Psalm 63:1

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring. They shall spring up like grass amid waters, like willows by flowing streams.” Isaiah 44:3-4 

And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. Revelation 21:6 

Then He showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:1

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7 

Deep calls to deep  in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. Psalm 42:7

 
By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:8
