Envy~Bitter Jealousy~

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice~James 3:16

You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions~James 4:2-3

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth~James 3:14

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it~1 Corinthians 10:13

A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot~Proverbs 14:30

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic~James 3:14-15

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good~Romans 12:21
