Defiant?

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

Has it not been told you from the beginning?

Have you not understood since the earth was founded? Isaiah 40:21

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous~1 John 2:1

Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age~Titus 2:12

So whoever knows the rights thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin~James 4:17

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in discipline and instruction of the Lord~Ephesians 6:4

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up~Galatians 6:7-9

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Therefore whoever resist the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

For rulers are not a terror to good conduct. but to bad.

Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority?

Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.

Therefore, one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but for the sake of conscience. Romans 13:1-14

For “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the word of the Lord endures forever.”

And this is the word which was preached to you~1 Peter 1:24-25
