The Spirit of Deep Sleep~

They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. Isaiah 44:18

Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” Isaiah 6:10

O LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them. Isaiah 26:11

For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. Isaiah 29:10

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.  Matthew 13:15

“But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears. Zechariah 7:11

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. John 8:43

and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. Luke 19:42 

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 

So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. Psalm 81:12
