In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye. Deuteronomy 32:10
Lord Jesus, in Your all-knowing kindness, I ask for Your help in coping with my feelings of depression. Let me remember that I have so much to live for even though I have often felt that I cannot make it through another day.
I ask that You guide those around me in their efforts to help me overcome my depressed feelings. Help my family, friends, and me to understand this illness that has put such a dark cloud over my life.
I pray, Lord, to open my mind and heart to the presence of the Holy Spirit inside me to lift my spirits, encourage my efforts, and give me a constant and fervent desire to do Your will.
Amen.
