Sixth Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Kill

You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment’~Matthew 5:21 

Do not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous~1 John 3:12

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord~Romans 12:19

Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him~1 John 3:15

The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them~Ezekiel 18:20

“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword”~ Matthew 26:52

Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked~Proverbs 25:26

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies~1 Corinthians 6:19-20
