Lord’s Burning Anger~

The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning. Psalm 29:7

He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark. Job 36:32

Out of the brightness of his presence bolts of lightning blazed forth. 2 Samuel 22:13

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, upon man and beast, upon the trees of the field and the fruit of the ground; it will burn and not be quenched.” Jeremiah 7:20

How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying, “He will not see what happens to us.” Jeremiah 12:4

For they shake their fists at God, defying the Almighty. … He stretches out his hand against God and attacks the Almighty like a warrior. Job 15:25

Surely wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke. Isaiah 9:18

And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. Ezekiel 20:47

So he poured out on them his burning anger, the violence of war. It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand; it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart. Isaiah 42:25
